Since it was Memorial Day weekend, my Hunny had a GREAT idea!! "Let's go camping!" he said. We have been talking about it for years and it seems that something has always held us back!!! Well this weekend we decided to go for it!! We packed up the mini van for a night (yes . . . that is ONE night) of Hogan-filled fun!! The kids were thrilled!!!
Our time at the park was fun . . . . DIRTY . . . but fun!! We made memories with the kids!! They learned how to fish and steer a canoe!! (one of life's very important lessons!) My sister's family came with us too! We did have fun along with a few mishaps mixed in!! What more could you ask for in a Memorial Day weekend than memories???

I used to encourage myself about camping by remembering that Gary Smalley says that if you want to be a close family you should camp together. : )
But the reason isn't that fun... He says it's because something ALWAYS goes wrong and when the "glue dries" you are closer.
We always had mishaps! Its made for a list of 'dried glue' that is funny now, but wasn't really at the time. LOL!!! : )
